Open Innovation Team Offers to help colleagues across government

Fact Checked by TDPel News Desk

The Public Sector Equalities Duty (PSED) requires all public entities to examine the equalities impact of policy changes they are considering, whether or not they conduct an Equalities Impact Assessment (EIA). We recognize that this can be difficult at times, so we’re launching a new service to assist colleagues in three ways:

Capacity

Teams can hire us to look into equality issues, and because we’re part of the Civil Service, we don’t have to go through a lengthy procurement process.

Expertise

We may enlist the help of prominent experts on behalf of colleagues, converting their views and ideas into language that decision-makers can comprehend.

Training

We’re working on a training program to assist teams in breaking down policy issues so they can better comprehend and respond to major equalities inquiries.

Support for data visualization and incorporating equalities issues into policy evaluation and monitoring are two other services we may provide.
