Governor Gavin Newsom set to participate in a virtual press conference with educators, parents, and kids

Governor Gavin Newsom will participate in a virtual press conference with educators, parents, and kids to highlight California’s Community School commitment.

California funded $3 billion in Community Schools over seven years as part of its drive to re-envision public schools, ensuring that all schools provide the right conditions for students to be happy, healthy, and thrive at school.

The State Board of Education and the Department of Education announced $649 million in Community School grants as part of this $3 billion commitment last month.
