Police declares man pictured on CCTV wearing Queen Elizabeth mask following violent pub attack wanted

A guy wearing a Queen Elizabeth mask is being sought in connection with a violent bar attack planned in advance of the Jubilee celebrations.

Officers were called to The Anchor on Lincoln’s High Street at 7 p.m. last Wednesday, on the eve of the Platinum Jubilee, after fighting erupted inside the boozer.

One man was punched in the face inside the bar as revellers were enjoying a night out ahead of the extended Bank Holiday weekend.

As a result of the incident, the victim had a cut and a bleeding nose, and detectives have now published CCTV of the primary suspect in an attempt to locate him down.

 

He can be seen wearing a cardboard cut-out mask of Queen Elizabeth II on top of his head while clutching a pint of beer inside the pub.

A Lincolnshire Police are appealing for help to identify the man, a spokesperson said: ‘At around 7pm on Wednesday 1st June, a male was reportedly punched in the face inside The Anchor on Lincoln High Street.

‘The victim sustained a cut and bleeding nose as a result.

‘The offender is described as a white male, approximately 5ft 10 ins tall and is believed to be of a medium to heavy build.

‘He has tattoos on his arms and legs and was wearing dark shorts, a dark t-shirt, and a black gilet.

‘He was also wearing a Queen Elizabeth mask on top of his head.

‘We believe the man in the image may be able to help with our enquiries.’
