25 people rushed the Jubilee March, including a Thomas Cook airline captain and drag artist known as ‘Silver Summers.’

25 protesters attempted to disrupt the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee yesterday, including a former Thomas Cook airline pilot and a drag act known as Silver Summers.

Todd Smith, 33, of Reading, was dragged in dung by police when he was taken off the road about 10 a.m. on Thursday, clutching a flier urging the recovery of Royal property.

Mr Smith worked for Thomas Cook until 2019, when the airline went bankrupt and he was diagnosed with Lyme Disease. He took seven years to finish his £140,000 pilot training.

He became a spokesperson for Extinction Rebellion and has been spotted at previous rallies in his pilot uniform.

‘My sister used to joke that I’d wind up as a runway or road sweeper instead of a pilot,’ Mr Smith said this morning.

‘It seems I’ve excelled myself and become a royal horse’s pooper scooper. On a serious note, we’re in the midst of a global collapse and the only way you can get any media to cover the topic is by doing stupid sh** like this and facing a prison sentence.

‘It’s high time we stand up for life, heal from our collective trauma, move out of denial and get out and help restore nature to it’s former, functioning glory.’

He was joined at the protest by Beau King Houston, who also performs as drag act Silver Summers.

Officers were compelled to pounce on the eco-terrorists ahead of the Trooping the Colour, as officers were recorded racing over barricades to the parade’s location, pulling the disruptors along the ground and out of the way of the procession.

As the marching band came, at least two of the protesters – from Animal Rebellion – were allowed to sit in the middle of the Mall.

Officers dragged them out of the path as the musicians marched past, utterly ignoring them, earning acclaim from the officers and boos from the protestors.

‘Animal Rebels disrupt the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations demanding that Royal Land be reclaimed,’ Animal Rebellion proudly tweeted minutes later.
