17-year-old boy is stabbed to death, another 17-year-old is arrested for his murder.

A 17-year-old teenager died last night in Camberley, Surrey, after being stabbed, and another youngster of the same age has been detained on suspicion of murder.

A police cordon has been erected around the murder site, which is said to have occurred at approximately 11.30 p.m. yesterday.

Officers were dispatched to a green neighbourhood in the tiny market town, which is known for being one of the safest in the south east.

A Surrey police spokesman said: ‘We were called to reports of a stabbing at an address in Camberley just after 11:30pm last night.

‘A 17-year-old man was arrested a short time later on suspicion of murder, he remains in custody.

Sadly a 17 year old man has died from his injuries at the scene. His family are aware and are being supported by officers.

‘There will be an increase in police presence in the area during the day as our investigation into this incident continues.
