The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture, Mrs. Olatokunbo Emokpae on behalf of the Commissioner, Ms. Abisola Olusanya received delegates from the Food and Agricultural Organisation (FAO) on a courtesy visit to the Ministry to organise a Focal Group Discussion (FGD) on the models put forward for aquaculture development in the country.

The group will evaluate the models, suggest implementation, methodologies,store experience and produce a working model to be implemented by F.A.O.

The discussion would revolve around the fish feed credit scheme and cage culture system in the country. The F.A.O team was represented by Dr. Abubakar Usman and with him was Mr. Severin Oman and Ms. Aisha Ibrahim.
