Orlando Pirates are heading for a mass exodus of stars, similar to that of Kaizer Chiefs with these five players heading out of Soweto in coming weeks…

The Soweto giants will look VERY different next season as several club veterans and players are set to leave their respective clubs.

Pirates fans can expect to say goodbye to as many as FIVE players in coming weeks.

FIVE PIRATES STARS HEADING OUT

1) WAYNE SANDILANDS

Sandilands has served the PSL well for many years. However, his five seasons with Pirates seems to be coming to an end with the veteran goalkeeper set to leave soon.

He did not make a single appearance this season. Even when regular first choice keeper Richard Ofori was sidelined. Siyabonga Mpontshane is the preferred back-up to Ofori. Pirates have also been linked with Bafana Bafana’s captain in what would be a MASSIVE transfer!

2) NKANYISO ZUNGU

Zungu recently got married to an SA celebrity but his professional life has not gone according to plan.

The Bucs man has only made two appearances across all competition. This does not look likely to change any time soon. Therefore, don’t be surprised to see Zungu on the transfer list very soon.

3) BONGANI SAM

Sam has found himself playing second fiddle to Paseka Mako.

The star left-back is currently nursing a horrific injury but the latest update on Mako provides exciting hope for Buccaneers fans. This is not good news for Sam though. Even during Mako’s absence Innocent Maela has been preferred by Mandla Ncikazi and Fadlu Davids.

4) GABADINHO MHANGO

Mhango has made his intentions clear – he wants to leave Pirates.

He was under utilised since returning from a successful AFCON with Malawi. Resulting in the star forward search for a new club, a shock move to rivals Kaizer Chiefs is on the cards!

5) TEBOGO TLOLANE

Tlolane has not played since starting Pirates’ first two PSL matches and their shock MTN8 exit.

He had two loan stints with Maritzburg United but has failed to impress any of the Bucs coaches he ha played under. Neither Milutin Sredojevic, Josef Zinnbauer not Ncikazi and Davids have been impressed enough to play him. It now seems just a matter of time before he is shown the door at Pirates.

Their have also been rumours of two top Pirates players leaving to join Amakhosi at Naturena.

Who would you like to see Pirates let go of this contract window?
