Orlando Pirates: Mako remembers nothing from THAT horrific injury

Orlando Pirates wing-back Paseka Mako has, for the first time, spoken about the horrific head injury he suffered against Baroka in April.

At the time, Mako collided with goalkeeper Richard Ofori as the duo were vying for the same ball, but the former found himself unconscious on the floor from the collision.

Mako had suffered concussion, and he has told the media that he didn’t feel anything after the incident, saying he only remembers waking up in hospital.

And when he woke up, Mako knew nothing about the incident because the only thing he could remember was him on the pitch playing for Pirates against Baroka.

Nonetheless, Mako said he’s getting better, and he has confirmed that he’s back in training although he will not feature for Pirates this season.

ORLANDO PIRATES LEFT WING-BACK PASEKA MAKO TALKS ABOUT THAT HORRIFIC INCIDENT

“It was very difficult. I didn’t feel anything after the incident. I found myself in hospital and I was asking people what am I doing here because last time [I remember] I was playing,” Mako told the media on Monday as per Sowetan.

“It was a very bad injury for me but I’m getting better. I’m happy that I’m recovering well, and I have started training now and I’m feeling much better now.”
