It’s NOT over: FOUR things Kaizer Chiefs need for CAF CL spot

Some Kaizer Chiefs fans have given up, while others still have a reason not to. Amakhosi could be extremely lucky in the final games.

We’ve found five things needed to realise next season’s CAFCL dream.

So there is just one CAF Champions League spot available for three clubs in the DStv Premiership. In the running are Cape Town City, Royal AM, and the fierce Soweto rivals Orlando Pirates.

Pirates stand out with three more games left, while City and AM just have a single game like Arthur Zwane’s side.

FOUR THINGS CHIEFS NEED

1. Amakhosi need to defeat Swallows FC this weekend with the highest score possible
2. Cape Town City should lose to Stellebosch in the Western Cape derby at the Dannie Craven Stadium.
3. Royal AM to lose to both Mamelodi Sundowns and Pirates
4. For Pirates to lose two of their remaining three games but beat AM by no more than four goals.

The main job for Kaizer Chiefs will be this weekend at home to Swallows FC, a team that will fight to survive or get relegated to the GladAfrica Championship.
