South African television presenter and actress Minnie Dlamini announced that she and her estranged husband Quinton Jones filed for divorce on 15 February after “changes in motion”, but it seems there is more to the story… The Homeground presenter topped Twitter’s trending list on Tuesday 10 May after rumours about her cheating on Quinton during their marriage set the app ablaze.

In a statement posted on Instagram on 15 February, Minnie Dlamini shared that “emotional burden” and the post-traumatic distress” of she and Quinton’s “individual loss outweighed” their will.

“After months after separation and consultations with our family and a counsellor, we have taken the decision to officially file for divorce,” read the statement.

“Despite the end of our marriage and romantic relationship, we remain friends, business partners and loving parents to our beautiful son.”

DID MINNIE CHEAT ON QUINTON?

Taking to Twitter on 10 May, blogger Musa Khawula claimed that Minnie Dlamini cheated on Quinton Jones during their five-year marriage which prompted Quinton to file for divorce.
