NATO announces nomination of General Christopher G. Cavoli as Supreme Allied Commander Europe

The North Atlantic Council has approved the nomination of General Christopher G. Cavoli, United States Army, to the post of Supreme Allied Commander Europe.

General Cavoli is currently serving as Commander, United States Army Europe and Africa.

Upon completion of national confirmation processes, he will take up his appointment as the successor to General Tod D. Wolters, United States Air Force, at a change of command ceremony at the Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe in Mons, Belgium, expected in the summer of 2022.
