Sundowns out. Here are the CAF Champions League last four fixtures

Following a 2-1 loss away in Angola last weekend, Sundowns took a 1-0 lead through Brian Mandela Onyango early in the second half, before Tiago Azulao equalised for Petro Luanda 15 minutes later, the game eventually ended 1-1 but 3-2 on aggregate in favour of the Angolans.

The result meant Sundowns have now lost in three consecutive quarter-final stages.

Meanwhile, results elsewhere around the continent confirmed this season’s semi-finalists, with Pitso Mosimane and Percy Tau set to represent Mzansi after Al Ahly defeated Morrocan giants Raja Casablanca.

Additionally, the last four will be dominated by North African sides in Ahly of Egypt, Tunisia’s ES Setif as well as Morocco’s Wydad Casablanca.

Here are the 2021/22 CAF Champions League semi-final fixtures:

Al Ahly vs ES Setif

Wydad vs Petro Atletico.

Can Pitso Mosimane continue to make incredible history with a third consecutive title? South Africans will certainly be watching the event closely.
