One of the notable technocrats featured on President Tinubu’s ministerial list is Adebayo Adelabu, a former deputy governor of operations at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
Adelabu had previously contested in the governorship election in Oyo State. During the election, he represented the Accord Party and secured the third position with 38,357 votes.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Teslim Folarin, garnered 256,685 votes, while Governor Seyi Makinde of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) emerged as the winner with 563,756 votes in the March 18th election.
As the Senate President read out the names of President Tinubu’s ministerial nominees before his colleagues, the list showcased a blend of experience, expertise, and political acumen.
