The 10th Senate and House of Representatives are set to return on July 4, with the ministerial list expected to be a top priority upon their resumption.
Speculation Surrounds Ministerial Appointments
Since assuming office on May 29, President Tinubu has kept the identities of his ministerial choices tightly under wraps, even from his closest allies.
There has been widespread speculation and intense debates about who will make the cut for the ministerial positions.

Last week, rumors circulated that some All Progressives Congress (APC) governors might have the opportunity to nominate multiple individuals for the ministerial roles.
Ministerial List Expected Soon
According to an anonymous source cited by Punch, the ministerial list could reach the Senate this week, signaling the formation of a new cabinet later in the month.
Ene Ogbole, a former coordinator in the dissolved All Progressives Congress Campaign Council, revealed that the President intends to submit his list for Senate screening shortly after the legislators’ return.
Ogbole urged Nigerians to exercise patience, highlighting that Tinubu still has time within the new law signed by his predecessor, Muhammadu Buhari.
Reassurances from Party Officials
Bala Ibrahim, the Director of Publicity for the APC, echoed Ogbole’s sentiments, assuring the public that the President is not under any pressure regarding the ministerial appointments.

Ibrahim expressed optimism that the ministerial list would be presented after the Sallah break.
He emphasized President Tinubu’s ability to carefully select his team, pointing out that the President’s recent activities, such as signing bills into law, demonstrated his dedication to fulfilling his promises.
