Rashid Hospital’s radiology department obtains international accreditation

The Department of Radiology at Rashid Hospital obtained an international accreditation from the American College of Radiology, making it the first government hospital to obtain this accreditation at an international level, and in second place after Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.

The American College of Radiology follows a set of strict procedures and standards before granting such an accreditation.

The accreditation reflects the rapid development of the Department of Radiology, the level of equipment and technologies it possesses, as well as safety and security factors, in addition to highly skilled radiologists and technicians, who are in charge of the department.

Dr. Usama Al Bastaki , Consultant and Director of the Radiology Department at the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), and head of the Radiology Department at Rashid Hospital, said that in order to obtain this accreditation, the department went through several stages of audit, evaluation and verification.
