Venturing into the serene Welsh countryside, Josie embarked on a leisurely walk accompanied by Kunekune pigs.

Enveloped by the breathtaking scenery, the 38-year-old Josie expressed her admiration for the beautiful surroundings and her love for the country.

Introduced by Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary, Josie couldn’t contain her excitement, exclaiming, “I am on cloud nine right now because I am as happy as a pig in the beautiful countryside of South Wales.”

Overwhelmed by her encounter with the adorable domestic pigs named Hazel and Holly, Josie confessed, “I have been walking these gorgeous Kunekune pigs, and I’ve actually fallen in love.”

Following a 30-minute walk, Josie engaged in conversation with the pigs’ owner.

She found the experience to be incredibly therapeutic and even treated the pigs to a refreshing bath in the river to cool them down.

Josie admitted, “I didn’t think in a million years pigs would like to go walking.

I always thought of them as quite lazy animals.”

Contrary to her assumptions, Helena, the pigs’ owner, explained that Kunekune pigs are highly active and enjoy the company of humans.

She stated, “That’s why I have Kunekune pigs because they so enjoy being with people.”

Accompanied by Julia from Good Day Out, an organization offering unique animal experiences in Bannau Brycheiniog, Josie couldn’t contain her enthusiasm.

She described the pig walking as an amazing experience and asked Julia about other activities available in South Wales.

Julia eagerly responded, mentioning the Year of Trails in Wales and the various offerings at Good Day Out, including mini donkey walks and games.

Delighted by the options, Josie concluded, “It’s just such a beautiful country.

I am a big fan of the Brecon Beacons.

I come down here a lot because it’s very, very good for the soul.”

The segment concluded with Josie acknowledging the recent name change of the Brecon Beacons National Park to Bannau Brycheiniog National Park.

Although Josie made a valiant attempt at pronouncing the new name, she humorously admitted she still needed some practice.

Julia emphasized the charm of the area and its appeal to individuals seeking relaxation and a connection with animals, particularly after the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Expressing her admiration for Wales, Josie gushed, “I’ve been here, I’ve walked the pigs, and the scenery is just out of this world.

It is a beautiful, beautiful place to come, it’s so good for your soul.”

Fans can catch This Morning on weekdays at 10 am on ITV1 and ITVX.
