AmaZulu interim coach Brandon Truter got off to a winning start in the DStv Premiership with a 1-0 victory over bottom side Baroka FC on Wednesday, 6 April.

Usuthu were looking to change their fortunes with Truter in charge as they were without a league win in 2022 which led to the sacking of Benni McCarthy.

Baroka FC, meanwhile, suffered their fourth loss in five matches.

With the match heading for a goalless stalemate, Luvuyo Memela snatched the winner in stoppage time with a header after a cross by Sphesihle Maduna.

AmaZulu will next be in action at home against Maritzburg United on Saturday, 16 April at 15:00.
