Jon Batiste and Olivia Rodrigo were the king and queen of the night at the 64th annual Grammy awards. The awards ceremony was supposed to be held on 31 January but was postponed due to the Omicron variant.
Trevor Noah hosted the awards ceremony and there was a pre-recorded message from Ukraine president Volodymyr Zelenskyy. LeVar Burton hosted the early show, where more than 70 awards were presented.
Batiste took home five awards at the Grammys as he led the nominees list with an impressive 11 nominations . These included,

- Best Music Video for Freedom
- Best American Roots Performance for Cry
- Best Score Soundrack Album For Visual Media
- Best American Roots song
Silk Sonic, the R&B duo of Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak executed a “clean sweep” of Grammy Awards in all four categories they were nominated. These four awards were,

- Best R&B song
- Song of the Year
- Record of the Year
QUEEN OF THE NIGHT: OLIVIA RODRIGO
Olivia Rodrigo was the queen of the night taking home three Grammys. These awards were for,
- Best New Artist
- Best Pop Vocal Album
- Best Pop Solo Performance
The other big winners of the night included,
- Chris Stapleton – Best Country Album, Best Country Song and Best Country Solo Performance.
- The Foo Fighters – Best Country Album, Best Country Song and Best Country Solo Performance.
