The Delta state government has reiterated its commitment to remain focused on delivering on its promise of leaving behind a Stronger Delta.

The Delta state commissioner for information, Mr Charles Aniagwu, gave this assurance today while briefing the press, at the Ministry of Information Headquarters, Asaba.

Speaking against the backdrop of the recent slew of malicious content being circulated on social media against the state government, Aniagwu said that the Okowa led administration will not be deterred but would rather remain focused on delivering on its mandate to Deltans.

He said; ‘…up to the 28th of May, 2023, we will stay focused, we will as an administration continue to inaugurate projects, we will continue to keep faith with the promises we made to our people both in 2015 and in 2019.’

While thanking the journalists in the state for their support and cooperation with the state government in their reportage since the inception of the administration, the commissioner decried the publication of fake and baseless reports by some journalists.

He said such practices are against the ethics of the pen profession and called on those who are involved in such to desist from it saying it is inimical to the desired growth and development of the state.
