After weeks of secrecy, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) finally unveiled the list of the squad that will battle against Nigeria in the two-legged Qatar 2022 World Cup play-off on March 25 and 29.

Ghana’s interim coach Otto Addo named a 27-man squad for the Black Stars’ upcoming game against Nigeria.
The goalkeepers invited include Joojo Wollacott, Abdul Manaf Nurudeen, and Richard Ofori. Club Brugge defender Denis Odoi has also been handed a debut call-up and joins Andy Yiadom, Gideon Mensah, Alexander Djiku, and Joseph Aidoo as the defenders invited.

In midfield, Addo has called up Baba Iddrisu, Edmund Addo, Mohammed Kudus, Thomas Partey, and Daniel Kofi Kyereh

Meanwhile, AS Roma starlet Felix Afena-Gyan has also been handed a debut call-up and will compete against fellow forwards Christopher Antwi-Adjei and Kwasi Wriedt.

Meanwhile, Jordan Ayew has also been named in the squad despite returning a positive COVID-19 test at Crystal Palace on Sunday.

The Black Stars arrived in Kumasi, the venue of the match yesterday as more players joined the team.

On Monday in Accra, a few players with the coaching crew led by Coach Addo had a closed-door training session.

The team held an intensified training session later as coach Addo and his deputies aim to secure a win from the home game.

The first leg of the World Cup playoff game is scheduled for Friday, March 25, 2022, while the second leg will take place on Tuesday, March 29, 2022.

The Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi will host the first leg of the 2022 World Cup playoff game between Ghana and Nigeria.
