Two killed, six injured in Tzaneen car crash

A car crashed with two incoming vehicles near Haenertsburg, outside Tzaneen, in Limpopo, killing two persons and injuring six others.

According to Transportation Department spokesman Mike Maringa, the car’s driver was allegedly speeding and attempted to overtake on a barrier line.

Both the driver and the passenger perished instantly.

Six more individuals were injured and sent to the Mankweng Hospital, which is located outside of Polokwane.

Deadly crash in E Cape

On Friday night, six people were killed in a collision between two vehicles on R61 between Cradock and Takastad in the Eastern Cape.

The vehicles – a car and a bakkie – were travelling from opposite directions when the collision happened.

The car had nine occupants while the driver of the bakkie was alone. The deceased were all in the car including the driver. The injured have been taken to a nearby hospital.
