Watch: Kaizer Chiefs caught napping by Knox Mutizwa

Fact Checked by TDPel News Desk

After beating both the defender and the goalkeeper to a nothing back-pass, Mutizwa delivered a wonderful chipped finish.

The mistake was made by Eric Mathoho, who found himself in an abnormally wide position.

Mathoho’s terrible back ball was intended for no one in particular, and goalie Bruce Bvuma had no chance of saving it.

Less than five minutes into the game, Mutizwa scored his 48th goal for the club.

Hard Knox

The strike from well outside the area is the fifth goal the Zimbabwe striker has netted for Golden Arrows this season.

Injuries for Mutizwa have hampered both his progress and that of his team who have struggled to convert their chances this term.

Mutizwa last scored three weeks ago when he was at the double to inspire Golden Arrows to victory over KZN rivals Maritzburg United.

Kaizer Chiefs’ ambitions dealt a blow

Kaizer Chiefs have just heard that they will be able to play the matches against Cape Town City and Golden Arrows that they failed to honour due to the severe COVID-19 outbreak in their camp.

That ruling sparked hope that Kaizer Chiefs could get back into the title race but in order to have any hope of catching runaway leaders Sundowns, they need to cash in on their games in hand.

Kaizer Chiefs could go second if they can beat Golden Arrows in what is one of their fixtures in hand.

The Glamour Boys came into the match against Arrows unbeaten in the league since December when they went down to Royal AM.

This fixture was a high-scoring one last season with nine goals shared across two leageu meetings.
