Federal support to help modernize community infrastructure, create jobs, and enhance public spaces across Calgary

Calgary, Alberta – The Honourable Daniel Vandal, Minister of Northern Affairs, Minister responsible for Prairies Economic Development Canada and Minister responsible for the Canadian Northern Economic Development Agency, will announce federal support for a wide range of community revitalization initiatives so Calgarians of all ages and abilities can benefit from modern amenities for events, recreation and other activities.

Joining Minister Vandal will be George Chahal, Member of Parliament for Calgary-Skyview; Mayor Jyoti Gondek; Mary Anne Moser, CEO and President of Telus Spark Science Centre, and representatives of various community organizations.

Speakers will be available to answer questions from the media following the remarks.
