Qatar reports 163 new confirmed cases of COVID-19

DOHA, 5th March, 2022 – The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) reported today 163 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 during the past 24 hours, and recorded 298 recoveries from the virus, bringing the total number of cases recovered in Qatar to 355,050.

In a statement carried by the Qatar News Agency, the MoPH said that 151 of the new confirmed cases are among community and 12 among travelers.

The MoPH reported that 6,397,165 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered since the start of the vaccination program, adding that 1747 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in the past 24 hours. The ministry added that 1,284,705 COVID-19 booster vaccine doses have been administered to date, explaining that 88.1 percent of the total population are now fully vaccinated with two doses.
