RABAT, 5th March, 2022 – The 11th Conference of the Association of Senates, Shoora and Equivalent Councils in Africa and the Arab World (ASSECAA), has condemned all forms of terrorism

In its final communique today, the congress strongly condemned the cross-border terror attacks launched by the Houthi terrorist group, including the attacks on the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia that struck civilians and civilian infrastructure.

The final communique also lauded the UN Security Council resolution 2624 (2022) which labelled the Houthi militia a “terrorist group” and renewed arms embargo on Yemen. The congress renewed its full and unconditional support for Yemen’s unity and territorial sovereignty.

The Congress adopted a proposal by the UAE Federal National Council to establish a Standing Committee on Women.
