PSL responds to fans! Irvin Khoza to make decision!

The PSL has issued an official response to the protest set to occur before the Soweto derby kicks off between Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates on Saturday, 5 March 2022.

PSL FINALLY RESPONDS, DR IRVIN KHOZA TO MAKE DECISION!

Finally, the PSL have responded to ongoing demands to have fans return to stadiums.

With their chairman, Irvin Khoza set to sit down and discuss their concerns.

NAFSA Secretary General Siyabulela Loyilane had this to say on iDiskiTimes:

“The PSL has afforded us an opportunity to sit down with the Chairman Dr Irvin Khoza and the Acting CEO Ma Mato Madlala to discuss issues relating to the supporters and the march. The PSL has confirmed to us that they will be ready to receive us on Saturday,” said Loyilane.

NAFSA wants work with shareholders and the PSL to get 50% – 75% of fans back. However, in order for this to happen they need to be on the same page and allow the 2000 fans that are legally permitted into the stadiums.

For the PSL, 2000 fans would result in a loss as they have reported that it costs around R300 000 per match for logistics such as security.

That is why they have not allowed fans in. The march will still go on this Saturday. Therefore, PSL chairman Irvin Khoza will hear there demands and they will be discussed.

Hopefully, it will be enough to see fans return to watch local football live and beginning of larger crowds across live sport in SA.
