Super Eagles winger, Moses Simon is in the frame to return to action today as Nantes host AS Monaco at the Stade de la Beaujoire in the French Cup semi-final tie.

Simon reportedly skipped last weekend league tie with Metz to take care of a family emergency but the Nigerian was part of the team’s build-up for the semi-final tie.

“Simon wasn’t injured in the preparations for their goalless draw with Metz.

His daughter fell ill and he had to be with her at the hospital around the same time the game was supposed to hold.

It was a difficult decision for him,” a source close to the player told our correspondent.

“His wife that is having her Masters in Belgium and she’s with one of the kids while Simon is with one.

She has since returned to take proper care of the baby and Moses is free to fully concentrate on the game.

”
Nantes beat SC Bastia 2-0 in the quarter-finals and a win tonight takes them to the final of the competition for the first time since the year 2000 when they won it for the third time.

Simon has played 23 games with three goals and seven assists in all competitions this term for the Yellow and Green.
