Saqr Ghobash to head FNC delegation at ‘Association of Senates, Shoora and Equivalent Councils in Africa and the Arab World Conference’

ABU DHABI, 28th February, 2022 – Saqr Ghobash, Speaker of the Federal National Council (FNC), will chair an FNC delegation at the 11th Association of Senates, Shoora and Equivalent Councils in Africa and the Arab World Conference hosted by the House of Councillors in Rabat, Morocco, from 3rd to 5th March, 2022.

During the conference, Ghobash will deliver a speech on the role of African and Arab cooperation as the foundation of economic and developmental recovery, in light of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

The speeches of the conference’s participants will also address the role of the youth and women in development policies and sustainable investments.

The conference’s activities will include holding a parliamentary dialogue forum between Latin American and Caribbean senates, which will address the role of senates, shoora and equivalent councils in reinforcing south-south cooperation, and the economic and commercial cooperation between African, Arab, Latin American and Caribbean countries, along with climate and health equality.

The conference will also issue the Charter of the Rabat Senates and Shoora and Equivalent Councils in Africa, the Arab World, Latin America and the Caribbean.
