As a means of giving back to the school that nurtured them, the 1999 set of Anwaru-ul-Islam College Agege Old Students Association ( ACAOSA) has donated customised education materials and set of wall-clocks to the college.
The presentation of the items which took place on Saturday inside the school’s Hall was led by the president of the Association, Taofeeq Badru and other members of the 1999 set of the college .
Speaking on the project, Taofeeq Badru said it is necessary for the alumni to give back to the school that made them, having shown similar gestures to some of their past teachers in the college.
” Today, we are given back to our alma mater , the school that made us and we are happy to give the little we are able to do because the school has done so much in our life,”he said.
According to the him, in 2019, the set honoured some of their past teachers and deemed it necessary to extend similar gestures to the school with the donation of wall- clocks and branded education materials to the students.
Privilege
Receiving the items on behalf of the Principal, the Vice princpal, Mr Adisa Ademola expressed his appreciation for the kind gesture towards the school by the 1999 alumni, noting that the wall clocks and educational materials project is a privilege as many schools didn’t have such an opportunity.
