Head coach Eric Tinkler shared insights into how his team managed to overcome the challenge of facing a rejuvenated Chiefs side.
“I think first and foremost, it’s all about the planning leading up to the game and analysing Chiefs.
We knew this season they’ve been a very strong team, a tough side to beat,” Tinkler said in his post-match reaction.
“They are rejuvenated and playing much better football than in previous seasons, so we knew this game would be extremely tough,” he added.
Training and Strategy Paid Off
Tinkler emphasized that everything the team worked on in training translated directly to their performance on the pitch.
He highlighted the tactical advantage of exploiting Chiefs’ high defensive line.
“Chiefs like to play a very high line, and because of that, they can be punished,” Tinkler explained.
