It’s been almost 100 days since Temba Bavuma proudly lifted the ICC World Test Championship Mace at Lord’s, a moment that etched the Proteas into cricket history.
While their packed schedules delayed celebrations back home, the team has made one thing clear—sharing this achievement with South Africans is just as important as winning it.
Bringing the Mace Home
Proteas captain Bavuma and coach Shukri Conrad have both stressed that the victory belongs not only to the players but also to the fans who supported them.
To honour that, the team is hitting the road for a nationwide Mace Tour, giving South Africans across the country a chance to join in the celebrations.
Four Days, Six Cities, One Trophy
The tour will run from 23 to 26 September, making stops in Kimberley, Bloemfontein, Durban, Gqeberha, East London, and Cape Town.
Each city will host special events—from school visits to open bus parades—designed to bring fans closer to their cricketing heroes.
Cricket South Africa is encouraging communities to come out, take photos, and be part of the festivities as the champions proudly display the Test Mace.

For Bavuma and his team, this tour isn’t just about showing off silverware—it’s about inspiring young cricketers, uniting communities, and giving back to the supporters who carried them through their World Test Championship journey.
The Mace Tour is a reminder that cricket’s biggest victories feel even sweeter when they’re shared with the nation.
