Kenya Institute of Business Training Launches Accelerator Program to Empower Young Entrepreneurs in Nairobi and Surrounding Counties with Funding and Mentorship

For young innovators in Kenya looking to scale their businesses, a unique opportunity is opening up.

The Kenya Institute of Business Training (KIBT), in collaboration with GIZ Kenya’s Programme for Promotion of Self-Employment and Entrepreneurship and GFA Consulting Group GmbH, is launching an accelerator program designed to give young entrepreneurs the tools, funding access, and mentorship they need to grow.

Hands-On Training and Funding Support

Participants accepted into the program won’t just receive theory—they’ll gain practical, specialized business training alongside mentorship from seasoned experts.

The initiative is particularly keen on supporting female-led ventures and businesses that focus on green and sustainable practices, providing tailored support to help them thrive in today’s competitive market.

Who Can Apply

The program targets ambitious young entrepreneurs aged 18 to 35 who are running enterprises under seven years old.

Eligible businesses must be located in Kiambu, Machakos, Kajiado, or Nairobi Counties and operate in sectors such as agro-processing, leather and textiles, tourism and hospitality, or building and construction.

Applicants should have at least two employees and a minimum annual turnover of Kshs 1 million.
