The mystery of UFOs—or as they’re now officially called, Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAPs)—has returned to the national spotlight.
On Tuesday, a group of military whistleblowers shared jaw-dropping accounts under oath, revealing what they say are repeated sightings of unexplained aircraft and alleged efforts by U.S. intelligence to cover up the encounters.
The testimony came during the third congressional hearing on UAPs, highlighting both astonishing phenomena and ongoing concerns about transparency in government investigations.
Shocking Missile Footage Over Yemen
During the session, Congressman Eric Burlison from Missouri presented previously unseen video showing a UFO being struck by a Hellfire missile fired from a U.S. military drone on October 30, 2024, off the coast of Yemen.
According to the footage, the missile bounced off the orb, which continued traveling at extreme speeds.
Jeffrey Nuccetelli, a former Air Force military police officer, called the video “exceptional evidence” of UFOs’ existence.
He testified alongside other veterans who described seeing a variety of strange craft, from enormous triangles and glowing cubes bigger than football fields to the well-known Tic-Tac-shaped vehicles spotted over the Pacific.
Alleged Government Retaliation
The whistleblowers also reported that the government has attempted to silence those who come forward.
Dylan Borland, a former Air Force geospatial intelligence specialist, said multiple agencies blocked him from employment, forged documents, and manipulated his security clearance after he reported seeing a 100-foot triangular craft at Langley Air Force Base in 2012.
Borland described how the massive craft moved silently, interfered with his phone, and ascended thousands of feet in seconds.
He added that other intelligence officers had faced similar retaliation for reporting UAP encounters, and he claimed the intelligence community engaged in phishing attacks to monitor what he disclosed to the Inspector General in November 2024.
When asked if he feared for his life, Borland said he didn’t believe anyone was actively trying to kill him, but the damage to his reputation forced him to rely on unemployment benefits.
More Incredible Sightings
Nuccetelli recounted five separate unexplained incidents at California’s Vandenberg Air Force Base between 2003 and 2005.
These included glowing red squares hovering over missile defense sites and a giant rectangle-shaped ship over 100 yards long.
In one incident, a strange light descended toward the base, hovered briefly, and vanished.
According to Nuccetelli, witnesses were threatened to keep quiet, and the Air Force regularly destroyed all police records, erasing evidence of these events.
Even off duty, Nuccetelli said he and colleagues saw orbs with pulsing lights moving like butterflies over his home, further illustrating the persistent nature of these phenomena.
Active Duty Encounters
Alexandro Wiggins, a Senior Chief Petty Officer in the U.S. Navy, described a dramatic sighting aboard the USS Jackson on February 15, 2023.
Wiggins observed a Tic-Tac-shaped craft join three others in formation over the vessel, and all four accelerated at incredible speed without leaving engine trails or creating a sonic boom.
Oversight and Accountability Concerns
Chairwoman Rep. Anna Paulina Luna criticized the former head of the Pentagon’s UAP office, Dr. Sean Kirkpatrick, labeling him a “documented liar” who undermined investigations.
Luna indicated she would not hesitate to subpoena him to testify about alleged misconduct at the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO).
Also testifying were whistleblower advocates like Joe Spielberger from the Project On Government Oversight (POGO), who highlighted the importance of protecting individuals exposing government wrongdoing, and investigative journalist George Knapp of KLAS-TV in Las Vegas.
Knapp recounted decades of pursuing UAP stories, noting that while Americans were long told no records existed, the Freedom of Information Act has gradually revealed thousands of previously classified documents detailing sightings worldwide.
A Growing Public Dialogue
Tuesday’s hearing underscores a growing tension between government secrecy and public curiosity.
With multiple credible veterans stepping forward and video evidence surfacing, UAPs are no longer just fringe speculation—they have become a pressing issue demanding scrutiny, accountability, and transparency.
