Cameron Moore, a wealthy Republican fundraiser and self-described MAGA loyalist, is at the center of a legal storm.
Known for rubbing elbows with Trump and his inner circle, Moore is now facing not just public scrutiny but a flurry of lawsuits connected to a highly sensitive allegation at Mar-a-Lago.
Moore, 48, claims he has been falsely accused of sexual assault by his former girlfriend, a 39-year-old single mother from Utah.
According to court filings, the alleged incident occurred in the early morning hours of November 2, 2023, at the exclusive Florida club.
From Secret Recording to Public Scandal
The alleged victim reportedly recorded Moore arguing with her later that day and handed the tape to a club member, Maria Selloni, who then shared it with top figures in the MAGA world, including Mar-a-Lago officials, the Secret Service director, and senior Trump aides.
Eric Trump reportedly even got to hear the recording.
Moore claims this tape and the surrounding allegations have threatened his social standing and gilded lifestyle.
He first filed a defamation lawsuit in January 2024 against Selloni, arguing she illegally distributed the recording in a two-party consent state.
Moore’s suit also framed the distribution as part of a deliberate plan to damage his reputation and cause emotional distress.
Doubling Down With a Second Lawsuit
Just days after the Daily Mail exposed the story, Moore filed a second lawsuit, this time directly against his ex-girlfriend.
He alleges she not only recorded him without consent but also spread false claims, telling Selloni that Moore “forced himself inside her, sexually assaulted her, and tried to impregnate her.”
Moore’s complaint also says his ex shared these claims with former Utah state Representative Phil Lyman, described in the lawsuit as a “professional acquaintance” of Moore.
The filing seeks a jury trial and compensation for the reputational and emotional harm Moore says he suffered.
Disputed Accounts of the Night
The night in question began with a dinner marking Mar-a-Lago’s reopening for the 2023–24 winter season.
Moore attended with his girlfriend, Selloni, and her husband. The two sides tell drastically different stories.
Moore alleges Selloni confronted his girlfriend in the bathroom, warning her that Moore was dangerous and a serial abuser, a claim he insists was false.
Selloni, however, maintains she approached the girlfriend because she was crying and asking for help.
According to her testimony, the girlfriend indicated Moore had been physically abusive at the dinner, prompting Selloni to share the recording “for the protection of the victim, the club, and others,” despite the political sensitivity.
Political and Personal Fallout
No police report or arrest came from the alleged incident, and Mar-a-Lago and Trump associates have remained largely silent.
Moore even referred to the venue vaguely as a “private club” in his lawsuit.
Despite the allegations, Moore has continued to portray himself as a Trump insider.
In late August, he shared a video with Roger Stone, though Stone clarified it was from a birthday party two years ago, not recent footage.
Moore had moved to Palm Beach from California in 2022, buying a condo and sometimes staying at the club during renovations.
Sources say Moore regularly hosted unvetted guests and dates, drawing complaints from other members.
“He always seemed to be with a different dirty blonde every time I saw him,” one club regular said.
Another added, “The problems came from him consistently bringing unvetted guests to the club.”
The Next Steps in Court
Moore’s first case against Selloni is set for trial in January, while his second lawsuit against his ex-girlfriend adds a new layer to the ongoing saga.
Moore insists his legal battles are about clearing his name, though the allegations and surrounding political connections continue to fuel intense public scrutiny.
The alleged victim has not responded to requests for comment, leaving many questions unanswered as the drama unfolds in the courts of Palm Beach.
