Radio presenter Amanda Holden found herself in an uncomfortable spot during Friday’s Heart Breakfast when she brought up the Beckham family drama with Mel C.
The singer, 52, made it clear she wasn’t ready to discuss her former bandmate Victoria Beckham’s personal issues.
Amanda, 54, admitted she was “heartbroken” over the family feud but quickly pivoted to lighter topics.
“I’ve actually banned talking about the Beckhams on this show because I’m heartbroken for them,” Amanda said.
“So, we won’t be talking about that.”
Mel C replied in agreement: “Yeah, we won’t be talking about that,” but the conversation soon shifted to something more positive—the upcoming Spice Girls 30-year reunion.
Mel C Reflects on Spice Girls Reunion
Despite sidestepping Victoria’s drama, Mel C shared memories of the band and hinted at reunion plans.
She recalled the 2019 stadium tour when Victoria wasn’t present and reflected on a recent birthday gathering for Emma Bunton.
“We missed Melanie B sadly, but the four of us were there and it was so lovely,” Mel said.
“It was a big birthday, and you feel nostalgic. We’re probably closer now than we’ve been in a long time. I’m always keeping my fingers crossed.”
The singer previously confirmed that discussions for a reunion to mark their 30th anniversary are underway.
She emphasized that she, Emma, and Mel B want to celebrate the milestone carefully, without throwing anyone under the bus.
Beckhams’ Family Feud Escalates
Meanwhile, the Beckham family feud continues to make headlines.
Brooklyn Beckham, 26, and his wife Nicola Peltz, 31, have been at odds with his parents, David and Victoria, for months.
Things escalated last week when Brooklyn released a detailed statement revealing his side of the story.
Among his claims, Brooklyn accused Victoria of pulling out of designing Nicola’s wedding dress at the last minute and hijacking his first dance, making him feel humiliated in front of 500 guests.
He also criticized his parents for controlling the family narrative and prioritizing public image over genuine relationships.
Brooklyn Beckham Speaks Out
In his statement, Brooklyn explained that he has been controlled by his parents for his entire life and that stepping away has brought him peace and relief.
He described years of manipulation, including attempts to force him into signing legal agreements and family interventions designed to undermine his marriage.
“My parents have been trying endlessly to ruin my relationship since before my wedding,” he wrote.
“The narrative that my wife controls me is completely backwards.
I have been controlled by my parents for most of my life.
For the first time, since stepping away from my family, that anxiety has disappeared.”
Brooklyn emphasized that he and Nicola now seek peace, privacy, and happiness, free from the pressures of public image and media manipulation.
Beckhams Maintain a Public Front
While Brooklyn speaks out from the US, the Beckhams have remained largely silent, appearing together during Paris Fashion Week as a united front.
Victoria is reportedly feeling betrayed by her son’s revelations after years of protecting him from negative stories.
Sources suggest the family continues to navigate the fallout cautiously, balancing public appearances with private tension.
Looking Ahead
The drama shows no signs of abating, with Brooklyn and Nicola firmly asserting their independence while the Beckhams maintain their public image.
Amid the tension, fans remain captivated by both the Spice Girls reunion chatter and the ongoing Beckham family saga, highlighting the challenges of life in the spotlight.
