Ariana Grande and Ticketmaster Announce Plans to Reissue Canceled Tickets Directly to Fans Ahead of Eternal Sunshine Tour Across the United States

Ariana Grande is making sure her fans have a fair shot at tickets for her highly anticipated Eternal Sunshine Tour.

Ticketmaster took to social media on Wednesday to explain how they’re handling a batch of tickets that had been previously canceled for violating purchase rules.

The company said they had worked with Grande’s team last October to cancel tickets that broke the platform’s terms.

Now, they’re reissuing those tickets directly to fans through a request process starting in February, prioritizing people who bought tickets fairly but were caught up in resale issues.

Grande herself shared the update on her Instagram Stories, thanking fans for their patience.

“Love you all so much and thank you for your patience… more information soon,” she wrote, keeping the tone personal and heartfelt.

Skipping Platinum Pricing to Keep Costs Down

Sources told People that Grande’s team had made a conscious choice to avoid “platinum and price scaling,” a system that adjusts ticket prices according to demand.

The goal was to prevent resale tickets from skyrocketing in price, which unfortunately doesn’t always stop scalpers but at least keeps the original tickets more accessible.

Still, not everyone was satisfied. Fans flooded social media with complaints, arguing that even with Ticketmaster’s adjustments, some tickets were still outrageously expensive on resale sites.

Comments ranged from calls to cap resale prices to suggestions for relisting all tickets at face value.

Fans’ Frustration Over Sold-Out Shows

Back in September, Grande had already expressed frustration when her tour sold out within minutes and scalpers jumped in, hiking up ticket prices.

She took to Instagram to reassure fans that she was working behind the scenes to find solutions.

“I’ve been on the phone every second of my free time fighting for a solution,” she said, emphasizing that her team was doing everything possible to get tickets into fans’ hands rather than resellers’.

She acknowledged the unfairness of the situation and thanked her followers for their patience.

Direct Communication From the Star

Grande’s posts are part of a larger effort to connect with her audience personally.

Despite being on set all week, she made time to share updates about ticket issues, showing her dedication not just to her music but to her fan community.

“I care very much and we will do, and are doing everything we can,” she wrote.

“I love you all so much and thank you for your patience and understanding.”

Eternal Sunshine Tour Kicks Off in June

The Eternal Sunshine Tour, launching in June, marks Grande’s first tour in six years.

She announced plans for the tour in August following the release of her album earlier in 2024.

Fans are eager to see her perform live again, and the tour promises to be a highlight after her recent award wins.

Grande’s album Eternal Sunshine earned her the Best Pop award at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards, and her single Brighter Days Ahead snagged Video of the Year.

During her acceptance speech, she celebrated her “fiercely loving and supportive fans” and gave a hint about the upcoming tour: “We’ll see you on tour!”

Keeping Fans at the Heart of the Tour

Through cancellations, resales, and price debates, one thing is clear: Ariana Grande and her team are determined to make the tour as fair as possible for her audience.

By prioritizing genuine fans and avoiding inflated pricing structures, they’re trying to ensure that the Eternal Sunshine Tour is an experience for those who truly love her music — not just those who can pay a premium.

Ticket sales, resales, and fan requests will continue to be closely watched in the coming months, as everyone waits to finally see Grande take the stage again.
