Music fans were hit with unexpected news as Jessie J revealed she has had to postpone her UK shows and cancel her US tour dates.
The 37-year-old singer, known for her powerful vocals and chart-topping hits, shared the update while opening up about her ongoing battle with breast cancer.
Second Surgery Means Rescheduling
Jessie J recently underwent a mastectomy in June, and on Thursday evening, she took to Instagram to announce she now needs a second surgery.
While she didn’t share specific details about the procedure, she reassured fans that it’s “nothing serious.”
Unfortunately, the timing of the operation conflicts with her planned tour.
In a heartfelt video for her followers, Jessie said:
“As some of you may know, I just had breast cancer surgery eight weeks ago.
The second thing is, unfortunately, I have to have another surgery.
Nothing too serious, but it has to be done by the end of the year, which falls right in the middle of my tour.”
Embracing the Moment
Despite the setback, Jessie maintained a positive outlook.
“I am living in the moment, embracing it, and flowing with the vibes,” she said.
Apologizing to her fans, she added: “I’m so sorry.
I feel frustrated and sad, but I need to heal, and this is the right decision. So, I’m postponing the tour until next year.”
The singer confirmed that her UK and European dates are now scheduled for April 2026.
Her US tour dates, however, have yet to be rescheduled due to logistical challenges. She explained:
“I haven’t been able to finesse the US dates yet, so unfortunately they’ll be canceled.
I’m spending all my time trying to make the venues work for next year. Please bear with us; I want to do this tour when the timing is right.”
Finding Strength Through Music
Jessie also teased new music coming soon, saying she’s focused on “compartmentalizing everything happening” in her life while prioritizing healing. “I have to heal, so forgive me.
I’m sorry this sucks, but I know you probably saw this coming,” she added, before signing off emotionally: “I love you all so much. I’m going to go before I cry my eyes out.”
Life Post-Surgery: Missing Moments With Her Son
In a candid conversation on Jamie Laing’s Great Company podcast, Jessie revealed the emotional toll her cancer battle has taken.
Recording in two parts—first before surgery and later after—she opened up about how treatment disrupted precious time with her son, Sky.
“Yesterday I sobbed. I feel like I can’t be a mum to my son, and I miss him.
Cancer has robbed me of memories with him. Some days are awful,” she admitted.
Facing Fear and Finding Perspective
Jessie reflected on the darker moments of her journey, admitting there were times she feared for her life.
“I had moments where I thought, ‘This is going to go left, and I’m going to die.’
Yet, she also found meaning in the struggle: “I kind of enjoy bad things happening sometimes because they make me grow.
I believe bad things happen so I can help others who go through similar experiences.”
The Diagnosis That Changed Everything
Jessie recounted how she discovered a lump in her breast, leading to a biopsy that confirmed cancer.
Initially, doctors suspected it was just a cyst, so the news came as a shock. “When they told me, I just burst into tears.
The lump was about 4–5cms of cancer,” she revealed.
Her passion for music and dedication to her career helped her navigate the initial shock, keeping her focused even amid treatment.
