A devastating accident at the Glenelly Wine Estate in Ida’s Valley has claimed the life of a three-year-old boy.
The heartbreaking incident took place last Friday around 5:30 PM, shocking the community and leaving families in mourning.
How the Accident Happened
According to police spokesperson Warrant Officer Zenobia Sedeman, the accident occurred when a driver started his vehicle and noticed the child in front of the car.
The vehicle reportedly surged forward, possibly due to a stuck accelerator cable, and collided with a nearby parked car.
The young boy became trapped under the moving vehicle, and bystanders rushed to pull him free.
Tragically, despite everyone’s efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
