Country singer Karley Scott Collins is setting the record straight after rumors circulated that she was living with newly-divorced Keith Urban.
Collins, known for her hit Flight Risk, didn’t hold back in responding.
On Sunday, she shared a screengrab of an article on Instagram, pairing it with a cry-laughing emoji and the caption: “Y’all, this is absolutely RIDICULOUS and untrue.”
The story sparked attention largely because of the 32-year age gap between Collins and the 58-year-old four-time Grammy winner.
Collins had previously opened for Urban’s 2025 High and Alive World Tour following their 2024 duet Write One, which brought the two artists together professionally.
A Friendship Highlighted on Social Media
Collins has frequently shown her admiration for Urban on social media.
As recently as January 3, she shared a photo hugging the Kiwi-born singer onstage, thanking “all the incredible artists who took the boys and I on the road with you.”
Back in October, when Urban celebrated his birthday, Collins posted a heartfelt tribute, describing him as “kind” and expressing how lucky she felt to call him a friend.
Their bond also extends behind the scenes: it was Urban himself who called Collins to inform her that she would make her official Grand Ole Opry debut in 2024.
Keith Urban Reflects on Life After Divorce
Urban is navigating life post-divorce following his split from Nicole Kidman, which was finalized on January 6 after 19 years of marriage.
In his first interview since the divorce, on Dann Huff’s podcast, Urban described his current mindset as one of reflection and simplicity.
He explained: “I’m in a different part of the journey…Lots of poetry would be in my music right now.
Not rhyming poetry, but more philosophical poetry that’s really profound to me.”
Urban has also been focusing on simplifying his mornings and daily routines as part of his personal journey.
Co-Parenting and Family Life
Despite the split, Urban and Kidman are continuing to prioritize co-parenting their daughters.
Urban will have his daughters, Sunday (17) and Faith (15), for 59 days in 2026, while Kidman, considered the primary residential parent, will have custody for 306 days.
The couple had been living apart since early summer and were last publicly seen together attending a FIFA Club World Cup match on June 20 near their Nashville mansion.
Past Struggles and Wisdom from Kidman
Urban’s journey hasn’t been without challenges. He famously completed a three-month rehab program at the Betty Ford Center for cocaine and alcohol addiction shortly after marrying Kidman in 2006.
In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Kidman reflected on life’s difficult moments, saying: “There’s something to knowing that no matter how painful, or how devastating something is, there is a way through…if you move gently and slowly — and it can take an enormous amount of time — it does pass.”
Kidman also has two older children from her previous marriage to Tom Cruise, daughter Isabella (33) and son Connor (31).
Upcoming Projects for Collins and Urban
Fans of both artists have plenty to look forward to in 2026.
Urban is set to perform on March 2 at the Nassau Cruise Port Amphitheater in the Bahamas during the Top Shelf Country Cruise.
Collins, meanwhile, will headline the Windy City Smokeout in Chicago on July 9.
Collins first gained attention in the entertainment world for portraying Oprah Pearl on CBS’s sitcom The Class, which aired for one season in 2006-2007, marking the start of her rise in country music.
