Nikki Glaser’s second year hosting the Golden Globes was nothing short of explosive.
While the comedian didn’t hold back on stage, she recently let fans in on the edgy, spicy jokes that didn’t make the live broadcast.
On The Howard Stern Show this Tuesday, Glaser spilled the beans on the jokes she had to cut, and let’s just say, some of them were pretty savage.
Glaser, who is known for her no-holds-barred humor, gave us a peek into her Stern File, a list of unfiltered, unsaid jokes she planned to deliver at the Golden Globes.
Some were intended to roast Hollywood’s elite, while others were aimed at the industry’s biggest controversies.

Sydney Sweeney and Her Boxing Biopic: A $1.3 Million Flop
One of the first jokes Glaser shared was a dig at Sydney Sweeney, who starred in the 2025 boxing biopic Christy.
The film, which saw Sweeney take on the role of boxing champ Christy Martin, was a massive box office disappointment, grossing just $1.3 million.
Glaser’s joke went something like this:
“Tonight is a night of celebration, but we can’t ignore it’s a weird time in Hollywood.
You know, people just aren’t going to the theaters to see things.
If you don’t believe me, just look at this movie where Sydney Sweeney plays a lesbian in tiny shorts for two hours… and it made $14.”
Glaser scrapped the jab after learning that Sweeney would not be attending the event, a move that might’ve saved her from facing some uncomfortable backlash.
AI Actress Tilly Norwood Gets a Cringe-Worthy Roasting
Next up was a truly controversial joke about Tilly Norwood, the AI-generated actress unveiled in 2025.
Norwood’s debut sparked fears that AI might replace human actors, and Glaser couldn’t resist poking fun at the outrage:
“You know, everyone’s concerned about AI, but Tilly Norwood is the first star to be completely generated by AI… and somehow, she’s still been sexually assaulted by three different studio execs.”
While the joke was intended to mock the overblown fears surrounding AI, it may have been a bit too much for the network’s taste, leading to its removal from the final script.
Roasting Sean Penn and His “Neck Veins”
Sean Penn was another easy target for Glaser, who first planned to roast him for his “neck veins.”
She had a couple of variations on the joke, including:
“Sean Penn is nominated tonight. I’m assuming for ‘Best Neck Veins.’”
And another stinging remark:
“Sean Penn is the defiant last tree standing in a rainforest.”
However, Glaser settled on a simpler punchline: “Sean Penn looks like an expensive leather handbag.”
The internet may have loved this one, but it was likely too tame for the cutting room floor.
Leonardo DiCaprio’s Love Life Gets a Joking Scrutiny
The famed actor’s relationships with women significantly younger than him have long been a source of tabloid fodder, and Glaser didn’t hesitate to bring it up at the Golden Globes.
One joke about DiCaprio’s latest romance with 27-year-old Vittoria Ceretti almost made the cut but was ultimately cut:
“Leo, why are you always squinting? I mean, I assume it’s to read your girlfriend’s ID… just making sure the year starts with a 2.”
DiCaprio wasn’t the only target in Glaser’s arsenal.
She also had a biting joke about his One Battle After Another co-stars, Benicio del Toro and Chase Infiniti, mocking their “squinting” expressions.
Another joke Glaser considered was about the actress’ unusual name, “Chase Infiniti Pain,” which she claimed was how Penn “gets an erection.”
Timothée Chalamet and Julia Roberts Also Take a Hit
Glaser’s Golden Globes routine was filled with jabs at big-name stars, including Timothée Chalamet.
One unsaid joke about his rumored sex life had fans laughing on the spot:
“Amy Poehler is here for her podcast, Good Hang, which is what Timothée Chalamet says after sex.”
The comedian also had some sharp words for Julia Roberts, nominated for her role in After the Hunt.
Glaser planned to deliver this line:
“Julia Roberts is nominated for After the Hunt.
I don’t know what it’s about, but I’m assuming the hunt was to find someone who’s seen it.”

Jonathan Bailey and Jeff Goldblum: More Targets of Glaser’s Humor
Jonathan Bailey, who made history as the first openly gay man to be named People magazine’s “Sexiest Man Alive,” wasn’t spared either.
Glaser’s joke about him was:
“Jonathan Bailey is the first openly gay man to be named the sexiest man alive by People magazine.
At first I was like, ‘Do we really need to say openly?’ And then I looked at the list of past winners, and I was like, ‘Oh yeah, we do.’”
Meanwhile, Jeff Goldblum, whose Apartments.com ads are ubiquitous, got a lighthearted roasting. Glaser joked:
“Jeff Goldblum is here tonight, not because he’s nominated, just because they were shooting an ad for Apartments.com down the street, and he just kind of wandered in.”
The Ageless Hollywood Double Standard: Brad Pitt at 60
One of Glaser’s more thoughtful jokes highlighted the double standard in Hollywood for aging men versus women.
She crafted a biting critique of Brad Pitt’s role as a race car driver in F1 at the age of 60:
“Brad Pitt is nominated for his role in F1 tonight. See, that’s what I love about Hollywood.
When a man turns 60, he gets to play a race car driver.
Meanwhile, after 35, every role for a woman is tired mom who hates her life.”
While this one didn’t make it to air, Glaser pointed out the inequality women face in the industry when it comes to age.
The Importance of Knowing When to Cut a Joke
Despite the jokes that didn’t make the cut, Glaser shared how she’s come to terms with losing material that doesn’t land.
She admitted to Stern that some jokes were simply too risky, while others were just a bit too far for the Golden Globes stage.
“You just don’t get everything you want,” Glaser said.
“You gotta move on, and let’s just write a better joke.”
Glaser’s ability to roll with the punches and keep the show moving is part of what makes her such a strong host.

She’s perfect for the role.”
