Pete Davidson reveals why he feels guilty about girlfriend Elsie Hewitt’s pregnancy while speaking on The Breakfast Club in the United States

Being in the public eye has its perks — and its pressures. Pete Davidson recently shared how he struggled with feelings of guilt after announcing that he and his girlfriend, Elsie Hewitt, are expecting their first child.

The 31-year-old comedian admitted that seeing their pregnancy become public made him worry about the impact on his partner.

Elsie Hewitt Shares the Big News

Last month, Elsie Hewitt, a 29-year-old model and actress, took to social media to reveal their pregnancy.

Her posts included cute snapshots of the couple and a sonogram photo, captioned humorously, “Welp now everyone knows we had sex.”

While the news delighted fans, Davidson said it immediately sparked a wave of mixed emotions for him.

Davidson Feels the Weight of the Spotlight

Speaking on Wednesday’s episode of The Breakfast Club, Davidson explained why he felt conflicted.

“I feel bad for my girl because I bring a lot of s***.

Anything I do or she does now is gonna be a thing,” he said.

He acknowledged that while he was excited to become a first-time father, he was concerned about the intense attention Hewitt would face during her pregnancy.

Protecting a Private Experience

Davidson emphasized that Hewitt herself has never complained about the public scrutiny, but he couldn’t shake the guilt.

“She’s a very private person and she’s the one doing all the work. It’s supposed to be a beautiful experience,” he said.

He added, “She’s never made me feel this way or said anything, but I feel so guilty and horrible that I could not allow her to have the ideal pregnancy that almost every woman gets to have and enjoy.”

A Young Couple in the Spotlight

Davidson and Hewitt have been dating for less than six months, first linked romantically in March.

Despite the brevity of their relationship, they now navigate the highs and challenges of expecting a child under the constant gaze of fans and media alike.

For Davidson, it’s a balancing act between excitement, love, and wanting to protect his partner from the pressures of fame.
