You wouldn’t normally expect the White House grounds to host a UFC fight night, but that’s exactly what’s being planned — with Ivanka Trump lending a hand.
While she’s mostly kept a low profile since her dad returned to the presidency, Ivanka is now reportedly involved in helping Dana White, the UFC president, organize a special event right on the historic presidential lawn.
UFC Event Tied to America’s 250th Anniversary Celebration
Dana White revealed this week that the UFC show is targeted for next July, coinciding with the 250th anniversary of the United States’ independence.
The event is “definitely happening,” White told Front Office Sports, adding it will likely be broadcast on CBS.
They’re gearing up for important meetings in Washington at the end of August to finalize plans.
Ivanka’s Role as Adviser Comes Into Play
Ivanka, who was a full-time adviser to her father during his first term, is reportedly helping out with the logistics and organization of this high-profile fight night.
Though she’s admitted to “hating politics” and has kept a lower public profile recently, it seems she’s stepping back into the political arena in this unique way.
The White House website still lists Ivanka as an adviser focused on education, economic empowerment for women and families, and workforce development.
So, her involvement in this event blends her public service role with the Trump family’s ties to the UFC.
Trump Family’s Close Ties to UFC
President Donald Trump himself is no stranger to UFC events, often seen in the crowd and known to have developed a strong friendship with Dana White over the years.
The UFC boss’s connections have certainly helped bring this unprecedented event to the doorstep of the White House.
Ivanka’s Background Beyond Politics
Outside of politics, Ivanka’s resume includes serving as executive vice president of the Trump Organization, where she oversaw major projects alongside her brothers, Donald Jr. and Eric.
She and her husband Jared Kushner live in Washington with their three children — Arabella, Joseph, and Theodore.
