Marc Almond, better known online as Cooking With Tubz, has been winning over fans with his honest and entertaining updates about his Mounjaro-assisted weight-loss journey.
The social media star, who boasts 394,000 followers across Instagram and TikTok—including I’m A Celeb jungle king AngryGinge—has already shed 2.5 stone in just two months.
Weekly Weigh-Ins Keep Fans Hooked
In a recent Instagram video, Marc gave followers a peek at his weekly weigh-in.
After a small gain last week due to indulging in “bad food,” he bounced back with a six-pound loss.
“Wow, six-pound loss, lovely jubbly, yes get in,” he said.
“I know I can do it, but we all have ups and downs.
It’s all part of a weight-loss journey. To the haters—you’re not perfect either.
There’ll be gains, maintains, and lots of losses, but I’m absolutely buzzing.”
Marc is refreshingly candid about the realities of weight loss.
He’s shown that even after a festive three-course meal—including a sausage, bacon, and egg bap with crisps and chocolate Maltesers—he can still get back on track with smaller, low-calorie meals like chicken breast and eggs.
Portion Control Is Key
Marc emphasizes that losing weight isn’t about cutting out the foods he loves.
It’s about portion control and maintaining a calorie deficit.
Posting a takeaway kebab he shared with friends, he explained:
“People don’t understand the power of Mounjaro.
I barely ate the kebab but it was still nice to have a bit of it, mainly the chicken.
It’s good to still enjoy a weekly treat rather than eat bad foods all day every day like I used to #winning.”
As a larger gentleman, Marc says he can eat more than most and still see results, adding confidently, “I know what I’m doing.”
Standing Up to Online Trolls
Despite his success, Marc still faces criticism from online trolls who judge his food choices.
Recently, he reacted strongly to comments after sharing an egg sandwich on white bread.
“I do not appreciate people talking to me like a piece of s*** on the bottom of their shoe,” he said.
“Having a go at me for eating an egg sandwich and telling me I’m off track? Get an education on how a calorie deficit works.
People who speak to me like that will be told to p*** right off and blocked.”
Marc’s honesty, humor, and relatability have earned him a loyal following who appreciate his realistic approach to dieting and weight loss.
Finding Balance on the Journey
The Cooking With Tubz story is a reminder that weight loss doesn’t have to mean giving up the foods you love.
With the right tools, planning, and mindset, it’s possible to enjoy life while making progress toward your goals—clicks, crisps, and all.
