Manchester United YouTube star Mark Goldbridge, born Brent Di Cesare, has transformed his love for football into a thriving career.
Known for his charismatic match-day watch-alongs on The United Stand, Goldbridge has attracted millions of fans who tune in not just for the football, but for the energy, commentary, and often viral moments he creates during games.
Behind the Scenes of a Fan-Fueled Business
Goldbridge isn’t just making a name for himself online—he’s also seeing the financial rewards.
Documents from Companies House reveal that through his company, OMS Investments Limited, he paid himself a staggering £1.5 million between December 2023 and December 2024.
The firm’s assets also rose to £4.96 million in 2024, up £1.6 million from the previous year.
However, a representative clarified to Daily Mail Sport that OMS Investments Limited operates independently and is not tied to The United Stand.
Ross Smith, Managing Director of MXI Group, explained: “Any payments referenced relate to internal company arrangements within OMS and are not income from, or connected to, The United Stand.”
Expanding the Football Content Universe
Goldbridge’s influence extends beyond Manchester United.
His second channel, That’s Football, explores watch-alongs for other clubs and reacts to major football stories across the sport.
This year, his content received an even bigger boost: he was granted rights to stream a selection of Bundesliga matches, marking a historic move for a content creator.
That’s Football will broadcast 20 live Bundesliga matches on Friday nights and create 34 weekly shows for the 2025/26 season, joining official partners like Sky, BBC, and Amazon.
Goldbridge’s channels, alongside The Overlap, which features football icons Gary Neville, Roy Keane, and Jamie Carragher, bring live top-flight football into a fan-focused, interactive format.
A YouTube Presence Unlike Any Other
With The United Stand boasting 2.22 million subscribers and That’s Football claiming 1.44 million, Goldbridge has built a media presence that rivals traditional outlets.
His coverage combines humor, fan insight, and, at times, controversy—making him a key figure in modern football media.
Controversies and Criticism
Goldbridge’s rise hasn’t been without friction.
Former Manchester United defender Paul Parker accused him of stirring trouble at the club, pointing out that Goldbridge is actually a Nottingham Forest supporter.
Parker said in 2023: “He is attacking the club, the manager, and the owners of a football club that you don’t even love.
He has no inner feeling with the club and it’s a scary but incredible feeling to have to be that invested in a club that you don’t support.”
Other incidents include Alejandro Garnacho receiving criticism for liking one of Goldbridge’s posts in April, which sparked a public debate about Erik ten Hag’s management decisions.
Earlier in the year, Goldbridge also faced backlash after Rasmus Hojlund gave an interview to The United Stand, with the YouTuber even receiving death threats, showing how influential and polarizing his platform can be.
What Lies Ahead
From YouTube sensation to official Bundesliga broadcaster, Mark Goldbridge is pushing the boundaries of what it means to be a football content creator.
With growing influence, expanding coverage, and a knack for engaging fans worldwide, the next chapter in his career promises even more high-profile moments.
