Toni and Cach win Love Island in the UK as first American contestant makes history with dramatic final twist

Toni

After a rollercoaster summer packed with drama, heartbreak, and plenty of villa twists, Love Island UK has officially crowned its latest winners—and it wasn’t who the bookies predicted.

Toni and Cach walked away with the win during Monday night’s live finale, beating front-runners Harry and Shakira to grab the top spot.

And while many fans were expecting a different outcome, the final vote clearly had other plans.

Toni Makes History—and Captures the Crown

Toni not only won hearts, but she made Love Island history while doing it.

As the first-ever American contestant to step into the UK villa, she brought something fresh—and apparently, unforgettable—to the show.

Despite the challenge of long-distance love, she and Cach seem determined to make things work now that the cameras are off.

Where Everyone Else Landed in the Final Ranking

Coming in third were Yasmin and Jamie, while Angel and Ty rounded things out in fourth place after getting the lowest number of public votes.

Angel, by the way, was this year’s final bombshell—only entering the villa two weeks ago.

She quickly clicked with Casa Amor alum Ty, and the pair managed to go strong despite Blu briefly trying to pull Angel’s attention elsewhere.

A Love Triangle, a Plot Twist, and a Turnaround

Toni and Cach’s journey wasn’t smooth sailing.

They met during the always-chaotic Casa Amor twist, and their early connection was shaken when Harrison entered the picture, creating a tense love triangle.

Eventually, Harrison chose to leave the villa with Lauren, leaving Toni and Cach to give things another go.

From that moment, their bond only grew stronger, leading them all the way to the win.

Fans React to the Unexpected Result

In the hours leading up to the finale, Harry and Shakira were tipped as likely winners by betting odds—but fans were clearly thrilled with the result when Toni and Cach took the crown.

Social media lit up with praise:

  • “Justice served—well done Toni & Cach. What a gentleman he is.”

  • “Congratulations Toni and Cach. First American and she won. Iconic moves.”

  • “A bombshell and a Casa boy winning Love Island—iconic!”

Harry and Shakira’s On-Again, Off-Again Saga

Harry and Shakira had one of the more dramatic storylines this season.

While they started as a couple, Harry’s wandering eye quickly complicated things.

He made a move for Helena and even spent a secret night in the Hideaway with her.

But after going back and forth, Harry eventually admitted that his connection with Helena was more of a friendship—and re-coupled with Shakira, who still had strong feelings for him.

Meg and Dejon Dumped After Emotional Rollercoaster

Not long before the finale, Meg and Dejon were dumped from the villa after the ex-Islanders were given the power to decide who stayed and who left.

Dejon later opened up about his experience during the Love Island: Aftersun episode, admitting he had a lot of reflecting to do.

While he and Meg are now officially boyfriend and girlfriend, their time in the villa was anything but steady.

Dejon Opens Up About His Behavior

Speaking to Maya Jama, Dejon admitted that while he joined the show intending to explore connections, he now realizes he may have gone overboard with the flirting.

“In the back of my head, I always knew it was Meg,” he said, acknowledging he could’ve handled things better.

He also admitted that Meg supported him far more than he probably deserved, especially after he continuously flirted with nearly every bombshell who entered the villa.

Love Island Faces Criticism Over Male Behavior

This season’s drama even sparked a public statement from Women’s Aid, who raised concerns over some of the behavior displayed by male contestants.

The charity called out what they described as toxic masculinity, gaslighting, and manipulation during the season—particularly referencing actions like Dejon’s.

Dejon responded by saying that people are entitled to their opinions and acknowledged he made mistakes along the way.

“I definitely understand why people have their opinions,” he said. “She stuck by me more than she should have.”

What’s Next for the Islanders?

Now that the cameras are off and the show has wrapped, the real challenge begins—seeing which couples will go the distance outside the villa.

With Toni and Cach facing the challenge of living in different countries, and other couples navigating public scrutiny, it’ll be interesting to see who thrives in the real world.

But one thing’s clear: This season didn’t hold back, and the finale proved that Love Island still has the power to shock, surprise, and spark conversation.
