In the forthcoming 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has maintained its instruction that no applicant would be allowed to enter the exam hall with electronic devices (UTME).
JAMB has released a list of Prohibited Items that will not be allowed into any of its examination centers this year. The following are the items:

“To guarantee that the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board’s examinations comply with best global practice, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has prohibited the use of the following materials during examinations,” according to the bulletin.
“In their best interests, candidates are urged not to bring certain objects close to the examination venue.” Candidates will be barred from taking the exam if they violate this directive.”
Last year, some candidates who disobeyed the directive and carried some of the devices to the hall were arrested and handed over to security forces, according to JAMB’s spokesperson, Dr. Fabian Benjamin.
