Murdered Queens mother Orsolya Gaal was stabbed 60 times by killer who then sent husband a text

Murdered Queens mother Orsolya Gaal was stabbed more than 60 times on Saturday by a killer who then texted her husband ‘your wife sent me to jail some years ago… I’m back,’ it has been revealed.

Gaal’s dismembered body was found less than half a mile from her family home in Forrest Hills, Queens, on Saturday, stuffed inside a hockey-style duffel bag.

Police believe the 51-year-old was brutally murdered in the basement of her family’s $2million home by an as-yet unidentified killer. No suspects have been named.

Police sources told The New York Post  that Gaal, who was from Hungary, was stabbed more than 60 times on her neck, torso and left arm.

She also had what looked like defensive stab wounds on her fingers and the palms of her hands.

Gaal is pictured with her husband, Howard Klein, and two sons Leo, 13, and Jamie, 17, in December. Her husband and oldest son were out of town when she was killed. Her youngest son was in the home and was questioned but was released

Gaal’s husband Howard Klein was out of town with their oldest son, Jamie, when the killing happened.

Their youngest son Leo, 13, was in the home, and he was questioned by police on Saturday but then released.

PIX11 cites unnamed police sources who say Klein received a text from his wife’s phone that was written by her killer in the early hours of Saturday morning, warning him not to call police.

It said: ‘Your wife sent me to jail some years ago. I’m back,’ according to the sources.

Surveillance footage captured someone wheeling the bag containing her remains away from the house at around 4.30am on Saturday morning but the person in that footage has not been identified.

There was no movement at the house on Monday morning, only a handful of police officers and patrol cars.

Klein runs an equities advisory firm. He did not immediately respond to inquiries on Monday morning.

Over the weekend, he was out of town visiting colleges with the couple’s oldest son when Orsolya was murdered.

He told the Post on Saturday that he was flying home, and that he was grateful the couple’s youngest son was safe but that he feared for all their lives.

‘[My son] Leo is safe. Thank God [my son] is safe. There are concerns about our safety. Our lives are at risk.’

Detectives are investigating who the married mother was with the night before she died.

She had told her son that she was out with friends, going to a show, but unconfirmed sources say she might have been with a man who was not her husband.

Police do know that she returned home safely the night she died.

The surveillance footage does not reveal the identity of the person who dragged the bag containing her body.

‘Something is not adding up. But there are cameras along the way. They’ll tell if it’s an adult or a child,’ one unnamed police source told The New York Post.

‘She knew the people she was out with. We’re talking to them. We also have to figure out, did she meet some mysterious stranger along the way?’ they added.

Gaal was seen by neighbor John Blankson Friday evening just walking about the yard with her dog, according to the New York Daily News.

‘The sun came out, Friday was quite nice,’ said Blankson. ‘We were outside. We didn’t actually speak to her – we were just chilling outside – but she was outside with the dog.’

That was the last time Blankson or his family saw Gaal. He also said that everyone in his house was up particularly late Friday night.
