Things are moving fast at Manchester United this summer—and Alejandro Garnacho isn’t staying quiet about it.

After news broke that Marcus Rashford is heading to Barcelona, Garnacho wasted no time in showing his support online, giving fans another glimpse into the chaos happening behind the scenes at Old Trafford.

Rashford Becomes First to Leave United’s Bomb Squad

Rashford’s season-long loan move to Barcelona was officially confirmed on Wednesday, making him the first player from United’s so-called “bomb squad” to find a new home.

The deal includes an option for Barcelona to buy him permanently for around £30 million at the end of the season.

United manager Ruben Amorim made it clear earlier this summer that certain players had no future at the club—Rashford included.

Others in that group are Jadon Sancho, Antony, Tyrell Malacia, and Garnacho himself.

Garnacho Drops a Quickfire Response on Instagram

Not long after Rashford’s move was announced in a joint Instagram post by the player and Barcelona, Garnacho responded with two simple but enthusiastic words: “Lets gooooo”, paired with two emojis mimicking Rashford’s iconic celebration—finger to the temple.

It was a short message, but one that spoke volumes.

Garnacho has been increasingly vocal on social media over the summer, and his latest post is being read by many fans as more than just encouragement—it’s also a subtle nod to his frustrations with how things are being handled at the club.

Social Media Moves Stir Up More Drama

Garnacho is no stranger to controversy online.

Last month, he came under fire for sharing vacation snaps from Ibiza, including one that showed him wearing an Aston Villa shirt—the very kit Rashford wore while on loan there last season.

That didn’t sit well with United supporters, especially as Garnacho was still officially part of the squad.

Some fans saw the shirt as an act of defiance against Amorim, who had already told Garnacho he should start looking for a new club.

That directive came just days after United lost to Tottenham in the Europa League final.

Fallout from the Europa League Final Continues

Things really started to unravel after that final in Bilbao.

Garnacho was benched for more than 70 minutes, and it clearly didn’t go down well.

His brother, Roberto, accused Amorim of “throwing him under the bus” and took their frustrations public on social media.

Garnacho himself had already been in hot water earlier in the season for expressing his unhappiness after being subbed off in February.

Though he later apologized, it was clear that tensions were building.

United Set Price Tag Amid Transfer Interest

As it stands, Manchester United are open to selling Garnacho this summer and would reportedly consider offers in the region of £40 million.

That’s a sharp drop from his £70 million valuation back in January, when Napoli showed serious interest.

Despite the club’s stance, Garnacho isn’t looking to move abroad.

The 21-year-old wants to stay in the Premier League, and clubs like Chelsea, Tottenham, and Aston Villa have all been linked with him in recent weeks.

What Comes Next for Garnacho?

While Rashford is off to Spain for a fresh start, Garnacho’s future remains up in the air.

He’s still in limbo—excluded from first-team training and left out of United’s pre-season tour of the U.S. Unless a Premier League club comes calling soon, he could be the next to follow Rashford out the door.

For now, though, he’s made one thing very clear: he’s backing his friend—and possibly hinting at where he sees his own future heading.
