If you’ve ever imagined working with animals like cattle, goats, or sheep—but have zero background in agriculture—this is your moment to jump in.

The Ruminant Agribusiness Starter Programme (RASP) is a completely FREE, beginner-friendly, hands-on internship that’s designed specifically for young people who are starting from scratch.

Whether you’re a student, a job seeker, or just someone looking to explore a new path, this 2-month experience could be the spark that launches your future in livestock farming.

Why This Programme Matters

Nigeria and many parts of Africa are full of untapped opportunities in livestock farming.

From improving food security to creating jobs, the ruminant sector (that’s cattle, goats, and sheep) has the potential to transform lives and economies.

But here’s the problem: most young people don’t have access to proper training or even a place to start.

That’s where RASP comes in.

Hosted by RPC Cattle Hub in Iwo, Osun State, this programme gives total beginners a real, practical introduction to life on a working farm—and what it takes to succeed in the livestock industry.

What You’ll Gain from the Programme

This isn’t just theory. For two full months, you’ll get hands-on experience with:

  • Cattle, goat, and sheep handling

  • Feeding and housing routines

  • Basic animal care and health management

  • How to spot business opportunities in livestock agribusiness

  • One-on-one mentorship and personal development support

And yes—it’s all free, with free accommodation provided on the farm throughout the internship.

You just need to bring your curiosity and a willingness to learn.
