Toto Wolff, who has been Mercedes’ team principal since 2013, told The Wall Street Journal that despite their on-track rivalry, they maintain a deep trust.
“On the racetrack, we want to beat you, no doubt,” Wolff said.
“But it’s been 12 years of working together, so we trust each other.”
And the trust goes beyond the race circuit. Wolff shared some surprising insight: Hamilton often shows him who he’s flirting with and asks whether he should pursue someone.
“He asks, ‘Should I go for this girl or not?’ And I say, ‘Yes, you should, and tell me how it was!’”

“He comes into the office, chats with the engineers, grabs some food,” Wolff revealed.
